iChild.co.uk
For numerous years I have served as the exclusive designer for iChild.co.uk. My tasks encompass creating various materials such as children's activities, PowerPoint presentations, leaflets, posters, flyers, and web banners. Some of the notable projects involve campaigns for organisations such as Royal Mail and ONS. More information is available in the print design portfolio section on my website.
I’ve also designed the brand identity for iChild’s Captivating Classrooms section on the site. Producing high quality PowerPoint lessons and worksheets for teachers.
POWERPOINTS
I’ve created over 150 engaging PowerPoint lessons for iChild’s Captivating Classrooms, bringing under taught subjects and topics to life, from the Uncovering Black British History lesson by Professor David Olusoga and Dr Yinka Olusoga, to collaborations with Soneva Academy, UK Finance and the ONS on climate change, money mules, and the importance of the Census. Every project is designed to make learning meaningful, accessible, and memorable. Here’s a few examples below.
Living Things
An interactive PowerPoint lesson for KS2 (Year 4) pupils, exploring the themes of seasons and habitats. This excerpt highlights how I used animation in PowerPoint to bring the content to life and engage young learners.
Money Mules
An interactive PowerPoint classroom lesson designed to help children understand the dangers of becoming a money mule. Developed as part of the Don’t Be Fooledcampaign by UK Finance, Cifas, and iChild, it encourages young people to stay safe and make smart choices about money.
Uncovering Black British History Lesson Plan
I was delighted to work with iChild’s Captivating Classroom to design a visually engaging PowerPoint lesson for KS2 (Year 4) pupils. The inspiring content was written by acclaimed historian and broadcaster Professor David Olusoga and his sister, Dr Yinka Olusoga, making it a truly special educational resource.
Testimonial
“I have worked with Sandra as our iChild Designer for four years. Sandra is extremely talented and really creative; she takes a bare written brief and transforms it into a beautifully designed, age-appropriate, engaging activity. Every time. She is a pleasure to work with – friendly, fun and she will always go the extra mile to make sure our work is the best it can possibly be. In short, at iChild, we simply call her “Supreme Sand”, which I think sums her up.”
